After two years of focused training, I began professional scoping in 2014. Since then, I have worked with private scoping companies and individual court reporters across multiple US states, building experience with demanding legal, medical, technical, and multi-speaker work.
Today, I run Scope Ease independently with a simple goal: work closely with court reporters, follow their preferences carefully, communicate clearly, and deliver accurate scoping within the turnaround we agree on.

What CAT software do you use?
I currently scope in CaseCATalyst. If your workflow depends on another CAT platform, contact me before sending a job.
Do you scope with full audio?
Yes. Full-audio scoping is included in the per-page rate. If audio is unusually difficult or unusable, I will communicate with you rather than silently changing the scope of the job.
Can I request a sample scoping test?
Yes. First-time reporters may request a sample scoping test of up to 20 pages so we can check workflow and preference fit before a larger assignment.
Can the website confirm your current availability?
No. The calculator and Scope Assistant can explain rates and turnaround options, but current workload and deadline availability must be confirmed with me directly.
How do you handle reporter preferences?
You can complete the preference sheet on this site or provide an established preference file/finalized transcript sample through the workflow we agree on.
Should I paste transcript text into the public forms or AI chat?
Please do not paste confidential transcript excerpts, exhibits, passwords, or case-sensitive information into the public website forms or Scope Assistant. Use the secure file-transfer workflow agreed on for active work.
